Help needed to choose the BEST 4-INCH Speakers

Hi to all,I just introduced myself in the new member introduction area.

I´m kinda noob in this car audio systems subject, and I want to know if any of you have experience in 4-inch speakers (I know... they are small, but are the ones they fit in my Chevrolet Spark, or that it was it told).

I have several choices though...

I Found the JBL GTO628 6.5-Inch 2-Way Loudspeaker

or the Polk Audio DB401 4-Inch Coaxial Speakers.

I also found the INFINITY 4032cf and Kicker 07DS400 4-Inch 100mm Coax Speakers

Please... feel free to comment, I DO WANT THE BEST POSSIBLE AUDIO SOUND, regardless of the loudness. I´m ready to comment and take any suggestion you people can made.

I have been looking for a great set of 3.5"s and I think the best ones I could find were the Infinity Kappa's which run $70/pair.

Take a look at Morel, they have some 4-inchers that sound great.

Thanks to all, the price is not restricting cause I am looking the greatest 4 inch speakers ever made... in fact I need a car speaker solution that includes some bass (I KNOW THESE 4 INCH SPEAKERS CAN´T HANDLE THE SUBWOOFER FREQUENCIES) Tremendous Mids, and Fabolous Highs, I guessed that JBL and POLK would be nice solutions (because of the brands... they are THE BEST IN HOME-EQUIPMENT AUDIO, AND STUDIO MONITORING) so... these Morel and Infinity Kappas (4032cf??) are good ones? I don´t have listened neither of these brands... but if u people tell me to go THAT WAY and JUMP... Legatia L41-2 Pro Component Speaker Set - 12v Electronics These will usually fit in a lot of 4" slots. I would say to cut and go with 6.5 though.

Well cutting in this case is not an option (I want it to keep it as original as it can be) and I do want 6.5 but in the rear. No comparison. Like a chevette and a corvette in a race. Any opinion is going to be loaded since people like different sound. I have been into sq comp for 15 years or so, actually just quit competing this winter. I like hat legatias and hertz mlk. To me those are the two best. If you introduce a budget. Then maybe best for the money may be seas, morel mentioned above, bravox, vifa, tang band, peerless, dayton, audax and eton could be looked into. The ones you are mentioning are really not that good, no offense. I would almost guarantee a set of $20 goldwoods would sound better than what you are considering.

infinity is made my Harmon Kardon. They tend to be pretty bright. If that is what you are into they work fine. Alot of people don't care that trait.

buggflipper is right. If money is no object any speaker you can get at a Best buy or other large retail store isn't the best on the market.

There isn't such thing as best.

Hats-are great but pricey, bright with much detail. you can use these as fullrange as well.

Hertz- are really smooth withmuch detail & great tonality.

SB Acoustics- would be my choice over many 4inch midrange drivers. At the price piont, tonality, smooth cone, not as detailed as Hats, but for the price they are very hard to beat.

Seas- are really nice driver in there lower or higher lines.

Even Markaudio mids are great sounding, I'm using them right now.

You could even look into H-Audio-

they seem to be great reviews from there newer lines of mids.

Fountek-3inch fullrange is hard to beat.

I installed a pair of these drivers in my friends truck doors just to see how they would work off-axis down low.

I was very impressed with the stage height that a 3inch driver could create off of head unit power.

I made a box for them so they weren't IB.

Those Infinity aren't that great for the money.

I haven't the JBL 4inch mids so i can't say how they sound.

you should find some local shops in your area to listen to what might sound good to your ear vs what others will say is the best or not.

Well I am very impressed that there are so many brands... regretfully most of them (in fact none) arrives to my country. I plan to buy it from amazon. I have found the Morel, Focal, and Infinity, Also the JBL and the Polk...

I think I'll go and take the morel, but anyone here has tested the JBL??? or POLK BRAND???
