Hi all,
Sorry for this very long-winded post, but I was hoping that some knowledgeable members here may be able to give me some advice on pricing some items for sale either in the classifieds here or on eBay.
Back around 1988 I bought some at the time state of the art Alpine speakers. I think they were fitted to their droolworthy Lamborghini Countach show car in all the Alpine brochures.*
Between the early 1980s until the end of the 1990s, when the partnership ended; as well as supplying car audio to Lamborghini, Alpine used their top of the range sports model (Countach, later superseded by Diablo) as a mascot car which featured in every product brochure and trade and public shows. The company's UK office, Alpine UK had a yellow Lamborghini Diablo SE30 Jota with the registration L666 LAM (referring to the Diablo name) which was often seen at shows and events.
Anyhoos I bought them in Singapore, and they cost me an arm and a leg even back then! I have carted them around ever since from country to country on my work travels, and never got the right Supercar to put them in, alas. They are boxed and brand spanking NOS new.
One pair of Alpine 6399 3-way speakers, six by nine inch, strontium, carbon, 150 watts - I've seen NOS over the years going for 500 euros, 1,000 dollars?
One pair of Alpine 6102 10" Sub Woofers, *250 watts
Also one minty a/d/s P2110 amplifier in excellent low hours condition.
I tried approaching Alpine UK several times for spec sheets and advice and they were worse than useless tbh. Got nowhere, they never called me back.
Any advice here very gratefully received!
Cheers!
Andy
