Help my wood is too short.

So the home depot dipshit cut all my boards wrong. He had plenty of board to cut a 14" long cut, but he ****ed up so now i'm having to glue to 7" cuts together.

And now i was setting up my box to see if everything will fit. The height of the sides is 12", but the boards that create the port are 1/16-2/16 of an inch off. Can anyone help me how to fix this?

I really don't want to recut it. Lots of silicone?

Thanks for your time

Mike

I would go and recut it... or don't worry about it if you're carpeting it..

as for the boards that you glued together, make sure you use a small piece of mdf to overlap the joints to make sure that they're sturdy.. you don't awnt them to flex out and break or anything... it's just more oppertunities for problems to arise

i would get new wood, they screwed up so they should redo it.
great thread title lol.
although it is a great thread title, and i laughed my ass off when i read it... home depot and lowes do not guaruntee their cuts, at all... for just this reason. they do it as a curteosy, not a service, and they wont hold themselves reliable for any in-accuracies.

when did you take penis out of your sig dennis? ive been gone for a bit.

oh man that title is classic? someone sticky it? lol. when i saw it i thought it was OT but i was wrong yet once again.

but go back to home depot get that thing recut. the f'ed up so they should fix it!

I was going to have them cut the wood for my box to but they dont guarantee any of their cuts. Like said earlier it is out of curteosy. It wont do you any good to go back there unless youre buying more wood to have it cut again. Mistakes happen

i thought home depot guaranteed their cuts within 1/4 inch. thats what the sign said when i was last there.

the sig went out today, so when people wanna make fun of me theyll have to think harder (instead of just calling me penis). i needed more room for spelling errors.

i would do that and throw in a good amount of caulking.
