Help me with my first amp and subs ever! (budget build)

Basically looking for a decent system for a maximum of $225 (literally can't spend 1 more cent). I am looking for low, big, loud bass. I listen to mainly rap and dubstep. This is what I chose, it is a mix between ebay items and crutchfield.com items.

Kicker Comp 12" - $50

12" ported box - $50

MTX THUNDER X702 - $80

Amp install kit and speak wires - $40

Total of $220

Please tweek anything or suggest something better.

Remember I'm no audiophile but still would like some decent bass! Thanks!

Don't buy a prefab box. Either have one built or build one yourself to specs somebody on here specifically designs for you. Subs perform differently in different enclosures and a prefab isn't going to get the most performance out of your woofer.

I think you should wait until you get a bigger budget before you delve into a substage, you can get a whole lot more for $500 than you can for $225.
