help me please

my amp keeps losing power then come back on. sometimes when i hit a bump.it has been off for 2 days now.is there like a list of troubleshooting techniques i can do to fix this problem. No lights are on the amp it just works when it wants too. It is a 6channell jl audio amp going to 4 factory speakers and 1 10" sub. I believe it is 8 gauge wiring to the battery.

ummm, check the remote wire connection behind the headunit? also the earth from the amp
