g'day i have a CDX-CA900 Sony Xpold HU, Soundstream 2 Lil Wonder 4 amps, 2 Soundstream Rubicon 12"s SVC and a Soundstream SPL 15" DVC and Soundstream 6"SLP G Splits now i don't really understand how to hook the RCA's up to run the 2 amps, i want the HU to turn on the amps how can i do this to split the REM cable into 2 for both amps, also i don't know what power cable or speaker cable but i want all this to run at full cap...alsoo would it be better to use a fuse at the battery and a fuse dis box at either end to make sure nothing happens and should i use a Dis Bos for the postive and negive???

can any1 give me any clues??

you can splice it... as long as its not spliced to too many things. the remote wire doesnt have that much current but with only 2-3 things u should be fine

RCA's- hook them up to the respective channels of the HU. front and rear. if only one set out of the hu, you can use a "Y" splitter to split them.

REM- can be split between the amps. I am runningn 3 amps off my remote line from my HU in my sig.

Speaker wire- 16 gague for the splits and 14-12 for the subs.

Power/ground- I don't know what the amps put out so I can't tell you...sorry.

Fuse at the battery and use a d.block to the amps and for the ground

The power cable size is based on the Wattage you will be running on the system.. What is the 'total' MAX and RMS watts for the amps that will be run on the main power wire? That's what determines the power wire size.. Personally, I'd suggest calculating based on RMS wattage.. if you go higher than the system can cleanly run you'll blow fuses instead of speakers (at least, that's my theory //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif )..

I'd also suggest a fused distro block close to the amp, each fuse should be just big enough to handle the RMS for the amp that line is feeding.. (again, my thoughts, others might disagree). A fuse at the battery as well, on the main power line..

Here is a calculator I like to use to get a feel for what I'll need when I wire up my system (it's in transit as we speak! YES)

http://www.eatel.net/~amptech/elecdisc/systemdesignassistant.swf

I don't think you use a disto block for neg, just pos.. the grounds go to the body/frame of the vehicle and get back to the battery that way..

That site (with the calculator) has a bunch of info and suggestions on amp stuff.. you might want to look around at it..

Hope that helps..

why are you trying to run two twelves and a fifteen? first of all the ampos you have can barely run the twelve...and you should never mix the sie of subs, it makes for a bad sound...you may wanna get some insalation help from a pro.... it seems that you may have one question too many for what you're trying to do

There's no rule that says not to mix subs. It's plenty fine. Just try to make the rms level pretty close to the amps power. The amp doesnt know what size subs its powering unless it came out in the past 10 mintues. However, I have to agree to get a better amp. I'd probably get a powerful 2 channel. You can run 2 dual 2 ohm susb in parallel and series to get 2 ohms. Then get a dual 4 ohm 15 to get another 2 ohm load.

The whole idea behind not mixing different subs is to prevent wave cancellation. Some subs may put out a slightly different freq. at the same time the other sub puts out a different freq. cancelling out one another.
