Well, we did a lot of testing this year. In SB1 you can't run a sub with a coil larger than 3 inch. The DD/AQ 3 inch coil is the toughest 3 inch coil we tested this year. With that amount of power the standard cone would be plenty good enough, IMO. I don't see much need to step up to the kevlar cone like the 99's have. In my setup the AQ's performed just as good as the 95f DD's, so I ran the AQ's since they were alot cheaper. I've never had a failure with them yet.
The T3 uses a 4 inch coil on their subs that are 15's or larger, and they will take a tremendous amount of abuse as well, but that doesn't do you any good for the class you are wanting to run. I never tested the smaller sizes of the TSNS to comment on thier 3 inch coil, but I'm sure it is good.
The kicker's HAD a weak cone. The only way we could keep them from breaking was to strengthen the back side with a structural epoxy. My understanding is that the new S.P.A.I.R. is supposed to solve those problems, but I haven't tested one yet.
The MT's wouldn't do well in SB from my experience. We were always fighting keeping them cool in testing. I'd stay away from them.
So from what I have seen, you can't go wrong with the DD/AQ's. The new Kicker may work great if the new cone holds up, and the T3 4incher's that we tested were awesome. I can't imagine you wouldn't have success with thier 3 inch coil subs, but I hate to guaratee it since we didn't test any of the smaller ones.
