Hello, I've searched the forum for awhile and have found a few brands to look at for this, within my price range. I really don't want to buy used, unless a forum member happens to have something available. My range is 250-350. I know price=! overall quality, but it seems to show the best built woofers for that power level.
Moving on,
The TC Sounds 3000 is ***, very attractive design. How does it sound?
I also like Fi Q and BL series
Those are the two models I've had a chance to look at. I'm also looking at DD, AQ, ID, and possibly RE.
I just don't like the look of my giant box in my small hatch, and a well built 12 from any of these companies should get about as loud as my two twelves.
The box will be sealed, probably about 2-3cu ft at most. I need room for the amps and accessories back there too.
I ask for personal experience because I come from an area where these brands are nowhere on the radar. I have absolutely no chance to demo these. And since I am running PG amps, another oddity in my area, I want to keep that with the sub too. I will run any of these subs off my X1200.1, the birthsheet claiming 1209. I know none of these subs will sweat the extra 200.
The sub must have excllent control with any kind of music. I go from classical, orchestral*movie soundtracks*, thrash metal, rap, death metal. Tempos fly and bass goes low, I need a sub that can take all that like a champ.
Thanks for any input.
