Hi everybody.

i want to ask some question

my HU is pioneer DEH 24-UB

my amp is monoblock pioneer GM-D8500M

my subwoofer is pioneer TS-W309S4

i use 4 AWG power cable and ground cable, 100A ANL Fuse , RCA cable from scosche

but for connect from an amp to sub box,i use the RCA cable (i dont know what brand) and from box to subwoofer,i use the original cable that i got from subwoofer box .

the subwoofer box is scosche 12",i bought in w**mart..

gain setting is normal,LPF setting i didnt touch..

so why my amp getting so hot?the amp still run even so hot..

1.please see the word that i bold , is that the reason my amp getting so hot?

2.should i use banana plug and 10 gauge wire from subwoofer to amplifier?

3.if the problem is subwoofer wire, than i have question :

the diagram now is like this

AMP ----- subwoofer box ----- subwoofer

now i want buy 10 gauge wire with banana plug and i put directly like this

AMP ----- subwoofer

can i do that?

please help me to solve my problem master.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

thanks

u prolly didnt set your amp right. check it out how to set gains with dmm. Car Audio Reference Database

did you say u used a rca wire as speaker wire inside the box for the sub? thats a no no get some 10 gauge or something as u have a small amp u could use 14 but the bigger the wire the better the flow but done go over board as again ur stuff is small.

sorry,i just check the amp mounting in my trunk..

i just make the amp very tight with the trunk deck, with screw..i didnt make space for the bottom of amp..

actually,i have to use washer,so there is a space at the bottom of amp right?

is that cause my amplifier getting hot?

cause i changed the wire system already, but still hot

i make the space at the bottom already , and

i followed step by step set up gain already with dmm..

i count my volt is 34.64 and then i use the DMM,it was 3.5 , 200v ac (resolution 100mV)

and i not yet test , but i run about only 5-10 minit, its warm..

is that normal when summer like this?

i confuse already..
