Help Amp Kit Fuse Keeps Blowing

What could cause the fuse that is between the power wire between the battery and amp to keep blowing?

Too much current.

Is there a nick or cut in the wire that is causing it to ground? Check from start to finish all connections and the wire itself.

Possibly a screw through the power wire if you ran the wire under the sill plates as opposed to under the carpet.

I HAVE 4 GUAGE...THE AMP IS A ORION 8002 .....1600 WATT AMP...IT HAS MONO AND 2 CHANNEL SETTING.... COULD IT BE THAT I HAVE THE AMP BRIDGED WITH 2 12?S ON THE MONO SETTING?..bUT I HAVE ALSO HAD IT LIKE THAT BEFORE I CHANGED MY GUAGE SIZE AND IT NEVER BLEW THE FUSE UNDER THE HOOD?

What size fuses are you using? Sounds like either your fuse is too small, your gain is cranked or your wiring is messed up.
