Helo me decide on a subwoofer 1000rms

TO get one one thing straight money isnt a huge issues as long as its under500$

looking for single 10 or 12 I already spent clost to 900$ on a jl 1000/1 so i need a good brand name subwoofer

I just dont know iof should buy the alpine type x or something else I wish i could buy the jlw7 but its not worth the money

Fi BL, an RE (I believe the XXX is in that range.)...

You might want to think about DD drivers, too. (Or DC Audio)

an RE XXX would make that type X look like trash, but you may need a little more than 1krms to get it moving well, to see full potential

As stated above, Fi is a good choice (BL and Q are in your wattage range)

I used RE SX's, and they sound great. in the SQ department they put my Type-R's to shame, however, they seemed to lack a bit with anything above 40hz (in a box tuned to 32hz ported).

If you are going sealed, theres not much that will beat the XXX. if you are going ported, any of the above options are good.

Image dymamics have some great products that do well in sealed enclosures as well, especially the IDMAX driver.

Haha. Yeah. ID-lines are good, too.

If you buy used, however, you get the same product for a lot less (most of the time).

I never asked what your aim is... SPL or SQL.

I had lots of sealed boxs before but spl just sounds so mcuh louder and hits really hard sq doesnt hit hard i find.. but vibrates good

you are better off getting rid of the jl amp and finding a better combo. the 900 you spent on a 1000 rms amp could've easily gotten you a quality amp from DD, Sundown, IA. and you could've gotten a woofer that could handle the power those amps put out, still be in the same price range and be alot happier

a type X is around 300$ on most websites the XXX is 800$ guys lol big diff the SX is same price as thetype X tho both seem to be very equal in everything... so type X or RE SX....hmmmm

id sell the dumbass JL amp and grab these.

this is 1200 in stuff. Sell you JL or take it back and get a refund and youll only need $300 more. this is a lot better deal. Look into DD subs too but i dont feel like going to there site.

best to send fi a email as to what you are doing with it ie just daily, what box, wattage etc.
