My name is Josh.
When I was in my teens and early 20s (early to late '90s) I was into car audio. After I sold my CJ5 (4x12" subs in the bed, 4x tweeters, 2x 6x9s) I didn't bother building another system and my interests drifted to other things.
Recently, I bought the floor display of an entry-level audio brand from a local store that's closing its doors.
Though entry-level, this stuff is still capable of sounding good, and being old-school, the voice coils etc are lighter and seem more responsive than a lot of new stuff.
I'm not going for SPLs or hair tricks these days. I have kids and am after good sound and education. If this phone app is to be believed, I'm running around 80dB. Though I don't completely trust the app, it sounds close to that.
For a living, I make custom sights and triggers and things like that for the Mosin-Nagant rifle, and I plan to branch out into other surplus rifles this year as I've been doing the Mosin since 2011. It's about time.
In addition to car audio, I enjoy fishing -- particularly bass fishing, building and shooting the 1911 pistol, and black powder and rimfire rifles.
Regards,
Josh
