Hello US Amps folks...

Hello All,

I've been out of the loop for about 6-7 years but from what I remember, US amps used to make really dynamite amplifiers. Are they still high quality or have they gone downhill like some other companys have? In my quest to find a 5 channel amp with a 1 ohm stable sub channel, I stumbled across the US Amps AX5600 (75x4 + 500x1@1ohm). Would it be fair to compare it to something like the Memphis Baby Belle (55x4 + 400x1@1ohm)? Or do the current US Amps amplifiers no longer have the quality construction/performance that I remember from years ago?

Any insight greatly appreciated.

The AX line is still great. I run the Merlin line. Still quality product but many more conteders for the price.
