hello im new here just wanting to know what every one thinks

ok im building a big system and dont know what im going to do to power it. what im wanting to do is put 2 sets of alpine type x 6.5 in the front and 1 set of alpine type r 6.5 in the back and im going to power them with a soundstream 80 by 4 amp and run the front at 2ohms to get 160 for the front and leave the back at 80.

now im tryin this in a 90 civic 4 door and the bigest alt i can find is 150 amp and i have a 85 in there right now and im willin to do anything to get biger amps out of one. what i want to do for my sub set up is 4 bx15000d amps 2 amps to one sub the sub is a the soundstream t4-12 dual 1 ohm coils and what im thinking is im going to need around 300 amp alt for this and i need some idea's and how to get there with this car?

i have 2 deep cell batts right now i think im going to get another one. do you think i well need 3 batts and im looking in to the batcap stuff. dose batcap stuff work any good at all?

i have all the batts in the trunk with 2 ga going to the front to a disb block and 1/0 to a block in the back where the amps hook up soo i got the wire taken care of i thnk and i have the big 3 dun all ready.

Well, it's way overkill and will not sound good if not tuned/installed properly.

You only need ONE set of Type X components in front powered by a good amp! (Around 150wrms). I personally, along with others on the boards here...do not use rear fill AT ALL. BUT if you insist, i'd only use a set of coaxials for some rear fill...like some CDT cl-6x or cl-5x depending on the size you need.

On to the subs and amps. You can get much better for your money. Personally i'd go with TWO great 12's ported instead of 4 overpriced 12's (that will most likely go in tiny sealed box b/c of the space you have in the civic).

And as far as amps, personally I HATE new hifonics amps. They DO NOT do their rated power, and are just not good quality IMO. Some other options for around the same price range are:

Viper or DEI (can be had on ebay for cheap, new, with warranty)

US acoustics (http://www.thezeb.com USG2000D)

MTX Modded 1501d (look around for scottiej on the boards here)

Sound Stream VG series if you can find it for cheap still...

Also, http://www.excessiveamperage.com Never owned one personally...but that'll prolly be the cheapest you'll find and still be quality!

Two deep cycles should be enough. You may even want to consider keeping your stock ALT, and do a dual ALT setup. Keep the stock to run the car and one component amp, then the second alt to run the subwoofer amps and rest of system w/ the deep cycles. (Not sure how this would work on a civic tho!)

And that's my advice! Would work out well for ya!

it is only 2 12's 4 amps 2 subs 2 amps a sub and i have a type x right now up there off a 501s rf that dose 125 at 4 ohms and i want louder and i well only do type r 2 way thanks for the idea im going to run 2 subs and 4 amps i might do dif amps but i love the t4-12

ok i was in a hurry. sorry shit . what i said was i have 2 subs. i want to do 2 amps per sub. hope thats good enough. if i use 4 bx1500d's how much amps would it pull
