Hello, I'm new here and I have a question.

What I have right now is just a basic audio system. 08 Civic Ex 2drs Factory Head Unit, I replaced all the factory speakers to Alpine Type-R 6.2 speakers. I also have an old school Phoenix Gold ZX450 and I really wanted to install it and run it with a 12" JL sub. My question is, If I install the phoenix gold amp, do I have to get a CAP or better battery? Can my factory battery handle that amp?

DON'T use a cap and with that small an amp you will be fine go for it also to get the most out of your new high's get a second small amp for them you will see a big difference

Caps are worthless, try it out first. Should be nothing to worry about, if anything get a small bat like a kinetik hc800 if you really need it.

i would be willing to bet that your factory battery will power that just fine. try it out, see what happens
