Hello from a guy getting back into audio!

Hello all! Getting back into the scene. I was big into car audio around 2004-2006. I had four Ascendant Audio Assassin 8's that metered on the TL mic around 143db in an old pickup truck. Don't even know it AA is still around now, lol. Got out of the scene due to college and marriage and such. Anyway, I have a project car that's taken years of free time to get on the road (1985 Nissan 300ZX turbo), and now that it's on the road, I'm putting my old gear into it. Two AA Assassin 12's, Kenwood amp, Elemental Designs components, and a Pioneer deck (MVH-8200 I got from a friend). Just hoping to get my feet wet again around here. Thanks guys! @Mast, I got into PC building in the away time. (Sometimes) Cheaper, but at least you can do this in the A/C or heat inside!

Welcome back! The passion never truly leaves. Sounds like you got some things going in a good direction, you should definitely start a build log on here. In for the pics!

Glad to hear they are still around. I have really enjoyed their subs from the 8"s I ran up to these 12"s.

AA is still around, but not under the same ownership. They are owned by Fi Car Audio now. I also ran 4 of the old Assassin 8's back around the same time. Was a great budget setup! Welcome back. Thanks, I'll keep your name in mind. I'm looking at swapping the Hifonics onto sub duty and trading the Kenwood monoblock for a new two-channel for the components. Will just have to see right now.

Thanks for the info. The 12s knock man, lol; I can't wait to get them in the hatch of the Z. I previously ran them in a single cab GMC 1500 pickup.
