Hey guys,

My system is a work in progress. I have been into car audio since highschool, and i really appreciate good music. I own a 1973 Porsche 914 and space is an issue. The coolest part to building in this car is 2 trunks, the engine is right in the middle. The hardest part so far is the placement of the tweeters and the tweeking of the sound stage. I drew a diagram of my components and took some pics of where i am currently. I will keep updating this thread as i get further along. Let me know what you think....

Just a bit of advice, get rid of the capacitors. They're helpful for very small moments of stress, but if you have a long bass hit, the amp will drain the capacitor quickly and the capacitor will have to recharge before the amp gets more power. Thus, starving the amps of power for a second.

Honestly... I would just start over.

Get a nice HU like a Pioneer. Then I would get a 3 or 5ch amp. Run a pair of comps in the doors, and glass a center console for a pair of 8s or a 10 or something. Then just get a small battery for the rear just incase.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I will now have to get a new head unit and loose the capacitors. thanks for the tip on the kinetik (holy #$%) thats a lot more boost. I am trying to keep the car as original as possible, with no cutting whatsoever. I do realize most of my components are really outdated, but it still bumps.
