okay. so.

2 - 13.5 W7's

2 - JL 1000/1's

5.75 cubes tuned @ 33hz.

we build the box, looks good, everything fits right....but here is the trouble.

when both subs are hooked up...they quit making "bass" they merely move, and just sound really shitty when they reach a certain volume level

so we unhook sub A, and only play sub B. Sub B Plays fine.

then we unhook sub B, only play sub A. Sub A PLays fine.

its just when both subs are hooked up, and the volume gets turned up, they start acting really funny.

whats going on here?

One sub is wired out of phase from the other?

Check your coil to coil, and speaker to speaker wiring.

checked and checked, all wiring is done correctly.

btw, each sub is wired up to its own amp, in series, seeing a 3 ohm load.

If it's cancellation, try flipping the box around so the ports fire towards the side of the car, and the subs are in line across the car instead of front to back.

Well, I'm kind of confused as to whether they sound good together at lower volumes or not. If they don't sound good even at low volumes, one has got to be out of phase. Did you try switching one just for shits? If that's not it, then their might be some sort of weird cancelation going on inside that box.

I had this problem with 1 HC 15 and 1 amp, and it turned out the red and black stickers for (+) and (-) on the terminal for the sub were reversed.

they sound good together at low volumes...but onces it gets to a point (volume 15 or so) they kinda cut out and just flex, but make real shitty noise.
