ok heres another noise issue, I already searched and went through a bunch of threads, and I think I know what it is, but I'm still unsure cuz none of the threads had the exact same problem.

OK here it is:

Pioneer HU P6000UB

Sundown amp (no sub connected yet)

DD amp (pushing iD component set)

Finally hooked everything up today, and it sounded great, started to tweak shit, so I started turning up the gains, and out of nowhere... The loudest whining noise I've ever heared in my life, my ears are stilll ringing from it.

I turned off the car disconnected the RCA's, and turned down the gains.

Reconnected the RCAs and one speaker is running and the other one has static and no sound coming from it.

Then I only connected one of the RCA, driver side was working fine no whine no static nothing

Only passenger side isn't working. But when I slowly turn up the gains at that exact same point, it sounds like some space ship landing and then the ridiculously loud whine begins. The whine issue is on both speakers, the continuous static is only on the passenger side.

... Any ideas what the hell can be going on??????

I have sorta the same problem, turned my gain up a little bit to see what my speakers could really do, horrible whining/humming noise came from my passenger side speaker, turned the gain back all the way down and no more whine and still sound good.

:/

well I only have 2 sides so the passenger one is the whone that is on the same side as the signal, BUT the static was never there, I was playing the speaker for over an hour, then when I wanted to tweek shit thats when it all went out.

All my wire other than my speaker wire is by KNU, so yes it is quality wire

no, just the passenger side is running the same side of the signal, the driver side speaker wire is completely isolated.

(could this be the infamous pioneer rca ground issue?)

could be something, i use eclipse. but the rule of thumb is to run your power and remote wires on one side and the rca's and the speaker wires onthe other. if you do it any other way, your risking interference. and any interference would be amplified once you increase the gain

why the hell does knu put built in remot into the rca's then?!?!

Yea I've heard that alot, but when I bought this wire I figured meh, maybe they fixed that issue. But the thing is the interference is non-existent up until a particular point on the gains. and at that point shit just goes haywire

That wire isn't there for your remote turn on. It is there for a ground path, to ground the head unit to the amp. That is generally used if you have noise

never heard of the remote, but i have been away for awhile. i just know that i have done lots of installs and havent had a problem following that rule. i dont think its the amp. could be your head unit rca's but most likely its in the wiring. where is your ground located @?

please elaborate, so basically I should just use a separate remote turn on, and leave those other wires that are buil in to the RCAs as is?

same here, most installs I've done are just ghetto *** installs for friends and what not this was supposed to be the first proper one so I got proper equipment, but my grounds are on the body of my car, nicely sanded down and screwed in, that, i dont think is the issue at all

Ground your HU.... Just installed a 5000UB and had same prob... The front/rear had noise but not the sub.. So just ground the 2 top rcas on the back of deck.. Cleared it right up.. The tutorial is pinned...
