I have a 95 astro van and where the heater hose connects to the manifold, there is a fitting that bolts right into there. There is a hole where it is supposed to be clamped, but it wont come off at all. I used pb blaster and let that shit soak a long *** time. But it wont budge. Anyone know of any tricks of getting it out?

hahahah if its a plastic hose just slice it with a razor and buy a new hose!

edit RUBBER HOSE
it is not the hose, it is the fitting that it clamps onto. The fitting is like a bolt that bolts into the manifold. The problem I have is that the **** thing is stuck even after alot of pb soaking.

and you are trying to remove it from the intake?
I honestly have no idea where it is attached, but it is on the engine right behind the belt and alternator. The heater hose clamps right on the end of this. But the one I got has a huge hole where is is supposed to clamp on. I get a socket wrech and bang it with a hammer and it still wont budge. This shit is really pissing me off. Especially for the fact it is just a bolt.

you need a torch...heat the joint and it should come out.

other option is to work out for the next 10 years and then try again:idea:

funny, but I am rather big myself. And I had other big people try at it and we used hammers and all the options ran out. So now I think there is a type of glue used on the threads to seal it up, and that is the only thing I can ****ing think of.

the very last option if you can get into the space is to use a hacksaw blade and cut through the wall of the fitting. then fold it in on itself and it will lift right out of the threads....assuming you don't drop it in the motor
