Everyone Knows that it's hot as hell in Florida specially in miami,I just got through installing my amp and i was wondering if its suppose to get so hot that when u touch it is actually hurts alittle is that normal if anything is wrong will it go into protect mode? I got a Power Acoustik ov2-1600 .

Here's how i have it connected

My PG's do get hot to the touch, but the fans generally take care of any internal heat problems in the summer.

If you're really worried about it, a set of CPU fans (attached on a relay!) will alleviate any heat issues.

Shoot that is natural..
My amps after a good 30 min. of play here.. nearly burst into flames..

Shit, **** ,**** ,**** , I burnt my freakin voice coil so there goes one of the subs, just my freakin luck. why did this happen i had everything connected right and the amp and speakers were matched, can anyone tell me what went wrong? Here are the specs of both.

I had it wired as in my previous post.

that amp is 2ohm stable, wire ur subs @ 2ohms and maybe that would help since the amp performs its best at that rate. but maybe the climate doesnt affect it? just assumption

That amp is not 2ohm mono stable, for 2 ohm it must be in stereo. The way you show is to be wired is the best way. How did you set the gain? You probly clipped the shit out of those audiobahn subs untill they fried. Next subs you get use the gain setting tutorial in the amplifier section. Gain too high+bass boost=fu(ked subs.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
