Hey guys, purchased 2 15's, not installed yet though. Still wanting to be able to hear the song also. Heard vehicles where' it's all bass with stock speakers and can't hear the song. What am I looking for? Should I look into getting 4 tweeters, or what?

4 tweeters will be really harsh unless you have 4 woofers to company them with 4 crossovers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif....go sealed if you dont want to be "where its all bass" since sealed is generally not as loud as ported....keep the gains lower...

Best solution would be to get some nice comps to keep up with the subs

Invest in some nice component speakers. I have 2 monster 15's in my trunk and I can crank it and my components keep up. Stock speakers ****, get nice components.

Na, want ported... I like it really loud, just I still want to be able to hear the song in the car, or there would be no point for me to listen to it... Their Memphis Power Reffrence 15's. Memphis is mainly spl subs.

So you think some nice door speakers, and this would get the job done?http://forums.caraudio.com/vb/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=130247

and do these component speakers go in your door or what?

You can put componet sets where you want, the 2 most common places are kick panels, and in doors. You need two holes, one for the tweets, and one for the mids. The mids and tweets dont have to be in the same area either, but u can. The crossovers are usually hidden, unless u have a nice place to display them to make them look decent.

And I dont know if those will be quite enough to keep up with 2 15's, but its always better then stock!

Sure, u could stick them under the seats, however, the seats would block the sound, and that make the comp set worthless. U place the comp sets where it will give you a good sound stage, and the most sound, so you can hear them.

There are plenty of good comp sets out there, from lots of different companys.

U need an amp of about 100 RMS X 2 to power any of these effeciently.

INFINITY KAPPA60.7CS : Here

Rockford Fosgate T162S: here

those are some for u to look at
