soooo that chip foose guy is only designing the cosmetics?
Thats it. Even the main designed by the engineers not him. Just what you see visually in trim, the casing is Foose designed. I believe in both SE and FD series the heat sink is incorporated into the base of the amp. There are fins that run the length of the amp and exhausted out the end caps. There will be a push/pull fan system inside.
Its a marketing move. A good one IMO. It wont have a huge overdone Foose logo on it, and quite honestly all that matters is that the performance and specs deliver. Foose is into custom hot rods, so is Arc in its wild demo vehicles. But now Foose can throw a nice sound system wilth quality gear ,in his type of visual appeal. Simply an attemp to let engineers do the engineering, and designer do the designing. Trying to offer an amplifier that'll look good in any interior.
I'm personally not crazy about oval shaped amps like the PPI. I like my amps with flat edges.

The Foose line and SE line will offer new design
* Sanken transistors
*every Arc model whether they need it or not will have temp. controlled fan system.
*They promise the Foose 4ch sonically to be at the level or better than the xxk4150(see specs), with better overall design than the xxk line.
*no class d DESIGNS,
there will be 2 strapable class a/b and class H mono blocks at 600 and 1250 watts
* No GOLD HARDWARE, aLL nickel on all new lines
* BIG 6 CHANNEL... capable of ~85x4, 225x2 at 4ohm
'Some' of the current xxk amps are similar designs of those that Rob Zeff designed for UBUY, a Taiwan electronics giant. NONE OF THAT will be around for '06. ALL new designs, proprietary to Arc Audio only, for Arc Audio.
The Signature Edition amplifiers. ZAPCO c2k who?
Balanced inputs/outs via Cat 5 cable (NON PROPRITARY CABLES, so no spending extra money to symbilink

ala zapco )
Bandpass xovers on every channel
2ohm mono/1ohm stereo stable
heatsink incorporated onto the base of the amp
external fusing
up to ~18v input
Rob Zeff is motivated, he took the Z from ZAPCO and he's hes running with it.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
