here's the place to post about healthly eating, diets, and working out related info. Rather than post about how much you bench, why not post about an experience you had like a case study or something to let us know what works and what doesn't. This can also be a great spot to post links to websites that have more information. We all can benefit from this site thread.....

i went from eating anything i wanted anytime i wanted to eating a bowl of cereal, a big salad, and whatever was being prepared for dinner and i have lost 15 pounds in the past month and a half. and why do dumbasses always assume fat people dont like salads???

i'm relatively skinny and i love salads :-D

I've started going to gym and plan on cleaning up my diet, we'll see where it gets me.

btw my uncle is pushing 70 and is in better shape than i will ever be, he's a diabetic, had pancreatitis (Sp?) and struggled with many other blood problems for a long time (triglycerides were beyond high like 100x what they should have been), he adjusted his diet appropriately, if not for his habits he'd probably be dead. Every day he walks 6 miles and works out on occasion too. Diet+exercise+SLEEP = healthy

I can say that I honestly hate eating fruit but I know it is necessary to remain healthy.. I ended up getting a smoothie maker during the holiday season and its helped out a lot... a simple smoothie a few times a week helps out esp in the morning for breakfast or to have as a snack.

remember - fruit has a lot of sugar

any other healthy snacks to have during the day or for breakfast?

just left the local super mart..

yogurt

lunch meat

wheat bread

frozen strawberries

bananas

peanuts

raisins

breakfast bars

& fix a flat (had a flat tire)

i went from 180 to 150 by changing my diet and working out. yeah, i'm 5'9" 152. i am kind of a skinny bastard, but i don't have a huge frame so i am not just bones. people don't realize how much pop and going out can add unneeded calories.

It's amazing how you some of you guys think its hard to lose weight. It's even harder for me to GAIN weight. Yep, i wanna gain weight, and dam its quite challenging. I keep eating and eating so much. Especially for breakfast, and its hard ya'll. Just to gain some extra pounds. I think something is wrong with my metabolism. I can assure taht i can loose weight faster than gain some weight.

I am taking GNC Weight Gainer right now (its like a protein) and its not really working. Anyone know any "safe" pills or vitamins i can take?

Love,

Dante

Dante,

I used to be 5'10 155 pounds. Now I'm 5'11 185 pounds. Weight gain drinks are just a stepping point. If you want to gain fat, Just eat a lot of carbohydrates and protein. If you are trying to gain muscle on your frame. Eat plenty of protein while lifting. Not just the lifting 80% of people do. You have to push yourself hard. And you have to be dedicated.

Your best option is to start eating a lot of carne asada burritos:naughty: . That's how I started while taking protein shakes and weight gainer shakes.

Remember there is nothing better than the real thing. So high protein/carbohydrate foods are better than the supplements.

I'm going to state my advice based on education, experience, and research. I am a coach, trainer, and educator by trade - and I get paid to help people get truely healthy.

Most of what your are about to read is 180 degrees out of phase with you have been told about diet, health, nutrition, medicine, etc. Keep and open mind and remember you can learn nothing unless you go from the known, to the unknown.

* Most of what you have come to know and believe about heathy living has been purchased by those that control the information flow in the country (ie Big Pharma, the chemical industry, coorporate entities, the goverment, etc)

* A "healthy" diet is an ellusive concept...there is not such thing as a "healthy" diet

* On man's food is another man's poison.

* Fat people are starving themselves to death for nutrition.

* Eating fat will not make you fat, eating dead food will.

* You are what you eat....you also are what you don't digest and eliminate.

* There is no subtitiute for food engineered by Mother Nature...NONE!!

* The medical communtiy has a vested interest in your sickness and disease, not in your health.

* There is no drug in existence that can heal the human body.

* Only the strong survive. If your health and vitality drop too low, Mother Nature, or "God" if you will, will begin to recycle your physical body and return it to the soil. The first symptom of this process is feeling tired or having low energy.

If you honestly would like to read more about these and other health topics, you can visit the articles page on my website: www.fitpotential.com/articles.html

Be well,

John

I like the site. Very well an informative look on being "healthy". But the negative side of me sees it as just a way for you to advertise. I feel most all diet and exercise information should be public knowledge. Not a way to capitalize. That's just my retarded opinion on the whole pay to feel better theme.

Well when I started car audio three years ago, I started eating supper no later than 6 PM.

I was working under the hood of my Ford Crown Victoria (My First Car) daily to try to get it to idle right.(I gave up)

I quit eating as much pasta as i was eating.

I went from 255 to 180 in alittle over a year.

I felt alot better after losing all that weight.

The site was posted to show you that I actually know what I am talking about...as in I am a professional. All diet and exercise info is open to the public, however how do you know where to find it? Everybody is always selling something...what are you selling triger??
