I also say to set you gain at 0, other wise you will have no up adjustment for those sources with low sub content.

When setting gains you want everything to be at the max settings you are going to use.ie sub gain at +2.Otherwise you will clip the signal if you set it on 0 then adjust it to +2 later on.

I have an alpine that goes from 0 - 15 I kept it at 15 others have mentioned they did the same.

Set the amp gain with the sub-out on the hu maxed out .
