ok i've tried everything except the big 3. everytime i rewire everything it works for about a few hours then stops working again, i've redone all my battery leads so no more corrosion and sanded down everything, checked all my wires, nothing is fried. I've been messing with the wiring in the back and ran a new (red) wire from as far back as i can see to the headunit, and all i did was turn an airbag light on... that kind of upset me. the problem is still here...sometimes when i go to get in my car, the radio wont even turn on now??? WTF. my battery is like 4 months old, headunit is brand new, subs are OK and amp seems to be OK, some people say that I don't have big enough gauged wire to my amp...but its been running perfectly fine like this for a year and a half, so I don't think thats the problem. I'm about to go crazy.

If it helps i have a 1994 Ford Mustang

760W Pioneer Amp 2 channel

2 Kicker Rear 6x9 Components

2 Kicker 5x7 in the front

2 10" Kicker Comp CVR 350W apiece

Clarion Headunit

Check out your V drop
and what would be the problem if it is dropping? how would i do that? i have a volt meter.

sorry im still new at all this //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I had a similiar problem but low voltage wasn't the culprit. Not really sure what was but running 12 gauge power/ground direct from the battery to HU fixed it.

Yeah I would try running a dedicated wire from battery(with inline fuse)or from fuse box to the deck as well as a new ground to nearest location
how would that help though? my head unit is only connected to my amp through rca's and remote wire, which i unplugged both from my head unit and is still doing the same thing. cause i was gonna just run it without amp/subs

Don't run new wire to amps, but to the deck. That is the only thing that I think might help. Have you checked the wireing harness coming out the back the deck? I had the ground wire that comes out the harness at the deck come lose from harness and It did similar thing

ive redone all my grounds and ran a new power wire from as far back as it goes to my head unit, skipping the harness. everything but the ground and power is connected to harness, which are straight to it. thought it might be a connection there. but no //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

ok i've fixed it now.. apparently a fuse in my fuse box was wiggled loose? and the car driving caused it to give a bad connection, explained the randomness of it. i could "flick" the fuse box and it would set it off. so i feel happy now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
