Headunit and subs fine, but what happened to my mids?

Well, i just installed my alpine headunit into my 04 saturn vue this weekend... hooked up my amp and my 2 12"s... ive installed 30+ times so i pretty much know what im doing, and didnt have any problems at all (except getting the f*cking dash back on right:verymad:)... anyways, everything turned on and worked as it should perfectly when i tested, and i bumped on the way to work and home today just fine. Problem started after i got to class, after about an hour long drive... the whole ride everything was fine, and even when i got there... but when i turned my car back on to leave class, all of my stock speakers didnt have sound? My headunit turns on and works fine, along with amp and subs. Would this simply be a fuse? I dont have time to tinker with it until after work tomorrow, but i found this very unusual since if i blew the fuse, the headunit shouldnt be on at all...not just the speakers right? I have 2 back, 2 front, and 2 tweeters. Is this a wiring issue,or fuse,or ?...?

Lemme sum it up://content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

New system, everything works perfect for 1 whole day

Turn car off after 1 hour trip(has been turned off/on multiple times previous to)

turn car back on, headunit and subs work, but no stock speakers work

i would say fuse is blown, since everything else works
I only saw one fuse and it simply said "radio"

In any other car id say that would shut off complete power to the headunit, not just stop the speakers from producing sound:confused:

I was at a gas station when i looked, and of course there isnt one of those things to pull the fuse out with so i couldnt check it... but im assuming its not blown with my luck

the car fuses is what i'm talking about
i think we understand, but fuses are meant to blow if there is too much current running at once, and once it blows, then there is no current at all... meaning everything on the other side of that wire wouldnt work (including the headunit)... ive never heard of anyone running fuses between their amp and sub...have you?

Im just confused because it was out of the blue, nothing acted up at all, and nothing would have caused it to short... i mean i sat in the parkinglot for a couple mins smokin a cig with the music on before i even shut it off... if it would have shorted after i shut it off wouldnt it have already been shorted while i was listening to it? its just all very confusing... i need some sleep

just stop posting help...i still havent seen u post something even remotely helpful

Im not looking forward to taking that dash back apart:crap:

ur speakers ran on ur deck or a amp? deck im guessing. could be a short somewhere
correct...straight off the deck. But the question is... if theres a short on a wire...that wire would only lead to one(maybe two) speakers, not all 6... so wouldnt it just short 1 or 2 out?

do you have any sound at all coming through the speaker? Listen closely.
i appreciate the help but i already stated that there is no sound coming out. I think these other guys know what they are talking about. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

wiring can short itself...throught weather or something pitching it, u dont have to touch it.

also behind the deck, where he wired it up, he could have not soldered/taped it enough and some of the copper is showing, that coulda shorted it.

also if he didnt wire it correctly, switched some wires around, coulda shorted it.

Lastly, something coulda just came undone.

dont tell other ppl they dont know, when u have the least amount of knowledge about CA, at ltest ur post make it seem that way u fing noob
