need a wire harness(if it doesnt have one), a dash install kit...

you could use stock wire harness or go buy a new one which tells you which wire is what, Wire crimper/striper, Electrical tape or wire caps, screwdriver, and maybe a Door Panel / Upholstery Remover. Other than that depending on your car, possibly a car kit.

You don't need it.. but it makes the install 10x easier. It doesn't cost that much either, go to Walmart and pick up one for 5 bucks.

The HU should come with a mounting box to help snap it into place.
