hi i heard lots of complaints that Pioneers load mp3s too slowly, but i think they are actually very fast... at least the only Pioneer MP3 models i was able to hear did (4650MP and 7650MP) even much faster than my 9815 (which takes about 1-2 seconds to load mp3s and sometimes you lag and takes almost 3 seconds)

i heard Kenwood load hella faster thou...

which head units have the fastest mp3 load in the market? and which ones have the slowest?

thx

There's almost no delay between MP3s in my 8454 (1-2 seconds if you're searching through tracks), but the time it takes to start to read the mp3 cd is annoying... maybe 5 seconds =\ But hey, you only load a cd every-so-often =D

^^^^^^^^^^

exactly same as mine, give it a few secs, not 2 sure never really timed it but only a few secs initially then after that its basically like a regular cd, jus has 2 load up the cd 1st time and like above sed cuz thers so much storage u only have 2 change it every so often

well my sony explod (the all black motorized one) takes about 2 to 5 seconds to read the disk after that it doesnt take time at all to switch between tracks. my friends pioneer is terrible, takes forever just switchin tracks

I have an Alpine cda-9811, loading time is pretty much non existant, definately less than 5 sec., and switching tracks is a little less than that. I love it.

The Clarion... forgot the model lol... 911 DVD Player... I had that. It was a piece of crap! The touch screen was good for browsing mp3 cds, but it took forever between tracks in that thing... plus the touch screen didn't work w/ dvds... my friend's didn't either. We both had it professionally installed.

My head unit will normally take 3~4 seconds to initially load an MP3 disc once it's put into the player but once it has gone through that process it switches tracks with no more delay than a regular store-bought CD.

my dad has one of those flip out lcd HU. and it takes days to switch trax. like everyone else tho, my low budget aiwa(it works great tho) loads a cd in about 4-5 seconds, and about a second delay when hot jumpin tracks.

I agree; it doesn't. :) See my comment above on Tuesday at 4:08 pm; in short, I'll use the auxiliary port on the FM transmitter.
