Head Unit????

In terms of sound quality what would be the better head unit between the Alpine CDA-9833 or the pioneer Premier DEH-P880PRS.

i say alpine because of all the noise issues with pioneer.

Pioneer. Ground it well from the start and you won't have an issue.

Burr Brown DACs

Much more adjustable EQ

Capability to go Active easily.

Higher voltage pre-outs.

In general, Pioneers have a warmer more "real" sound to me. Biased opinion, I know.

That's for the SQ side. There are several other things, but they're non-SQ related.

i have always been able to testify Alpines sound a lot better than Pioneers one... but i think the game has changed, since Alpine has became a sellout brand recently...but i havent listened to a 2005 or 2006 Alpine yet, thou they say it sucks lol
