Hey guys, i have a little problem with my Sony explod usb/aux head unit radio. Every time i hit i little bump the radio switches of and then on again. What may be the cause of this? A little history of that radio goes:

I first bought the radio about 2 years ago and installed it into a 2006 golf mk1. Well that car i wrote off!!!! I was concerned that the radio got hurt in the whole process but it just had to hold on. i installed it into a 2002 ford fiesta mk4 and it was working perfectly. Even got 138.8 db on my first sound off with that radio. So i sold that car and bought me a 2005 MG ZR 120. I installed the radio into that car and pow, that's when my problem started. Any help would be much appreciated.

Check all the power and ground connections behind the radio, make sure the clip is tight.

If its easy to remove the radio, maybe take it out and just hook it up to the battery with some short wires and try to duplicate the bumps in the road, see if it turns on and off. If you cant make it turn on and off then it probably mean the HU is ok.

If theres no problem with the HU, then I would maybe drive around with a DMM (test light might be easier to watch) hooked to the power and ground and see if there is a problem with the wire. Could be pinched somewhere.

It would also be easy to add an equalizer to have individual rca inputs for all of the channels. A decent one can be had for less than $40...

One or two, they are still subwoofer outs and are mono summed signals from both left and right. Even the 2 RCA subwoofer pre-outs on the 2nd one...

There are a couple of options. You can use a marine bt unit. They come in the size of a hockey puck and can mount anywhere. This is the marine unit.

There are bluetooth amplifiers. You can just use your phone or an I Pod as the music source and not touch the radio.
