Head Unit stays on. Wired wrong or setting I can't find??

Greetings All,

So, installed my audio in my new '12 Beetle over the weekend. Everything went well except my head unit is staying on when I turn the car off and pull the key. It's a Kenwood 995. I used the cam/bus harness and It was pretty straight forward. No steering wheel controls and no stock amplification, so I left the steering wheel control plug and three leads taped up and hooked up the rest.

Can't figure out why that head unit stays on...

Your power isn't wired to an accessory hot wire. You have it on a constant hot. You need to recheck your your work and see what went wrong.

the red wire on the back of the head unit is what turns it on, if it comes down to it run a new power line for it, and just put a manual switch.
