amp turns on but no sound

my homeboy got this american bass xd1800 i belive it is, it turns on but puts out no sound. whenever it turns on it just like moves the sub slowly then nothing, i opened it up and 1 of those black lookin bottles i belive there called capacitors is blown can anyone tell me if the amp can be fixed and if it can around how much would it cost

Yes it can be fixed. Nobody can tell you what it will cost until they have looked it over. It's certainly more than just a capacitor. Those just filter the signal. They are not critical to the operation of the unit. However they blow due to voltage spikes, which indicates a much larger problem with the amp that you cannot visually see.
