Ok, try makes things fast without leaving out details:
I installed 2 amps on 1 power line 8 gauge (yes, its enough to sustain both amps)
1 amp running 2 Kicker 12
1 amp running 2 Pioneer 6x9s
both running in mono...1 set of RCA wires.....red going to subs white going to 6x9s
I used to have my power line running from my actual battery + post.....but, before I installed the 2nd amp......I am now running it out of the Positive Box my car has (im pretty sure, its the box where the alternator and the starter goes)
I thought maybe 2 amps problem
But I take both amps off........and only use 1
(I know my ground is atleast good enough!! it never made this noise before)
But now the noise won't stop.....when I turn on A/C or accelerate it starts the whine
My dads car had this same problem...so we changed the RCAs and that fixed
I know its not alternator whine/noise because it happens when my car is off
I figured RCA jacks were bad....so tried 2 different sets, still get noise
(prob. not safe but......my players has a Rear Outputs, and with one plugged in (white) and the red one free, if I touch the red one to metal...if you hold it firmly to the metal, the noise stops
does this indicate a ground bad somewhere?)
My player is a Pioneer DEH-6900UB
Anything I left out, please ask
