Head unit sizes

hello,

this mAy sound like a really dumb question, but does anyone know the size of the slot for the head unit (DIN????)on a 98' chevy cavalier?

i had a 99 i went normal with a turbo kit,i was told a din and a 1/2 would fit...eather way youll get to see your air bag up close

hey skitzo,

when u took ur cavalier dash off, does the air bag come out w/ the main dash board pad?? Also was it difficult, or actually is it too difficult for a first timer?

If your worried about setting your airbag off. Just disconnect the battery. Which by the way you should do anyway

And if you disconnect any wiring harness's during installation. Just make sure to reconnect them BEFORE you reconnect the battery.

Unplug your battery. The whole top of your dash should come off. There are screws everywhere! some on the passenger side panel and some on the driver side panel. The two tricky screws that gets alot of people are in the glovebox. But crutchfield has a really good instruction manual for this procedure.
