I'm a newbie to car audio (in any form) so I thought it wise to consult with the experts here before proceeding with the removal or the old HU and installation of the new HU. I own a Toyota Tacoma '96 Ext. Cab, with a pocket beneath the HU (if you have one you know what I'm referring to), I just need to know if I have to remove any of the dash and/or console pieces to get at the receiver.
I also was a little daunted when I saw all the wires included with the package, though I'm assuming those are for more advanced setups. I currently have just the stock speakers (no amps, no subs, no changers...etc) and I'm hoping that most of the connections from the older receiver will plug right back into the new receiver (plug and play), is this correct? Any tips you can give would be great, thanks.
If you need more info just ask, but I'm betting this is the simplest of all possible audio upgrades.
