I installed my pioneer deck in my grand prix about two months ago. It works fine with no issues however, the past month or so it has started to make a crackling noise when i change songs. i checked the ground and its all good. what else could be causing this?

How did you 'check' the ground? Did you use a multimeter and check the continuity of the circuit or did you simply eyeball it and verify that it was a solid connection? (I ask this as a poor grounding location can create noise no matter how tightly you secure the bolts/nuts/whatever)

What model Pioneer HU are we talking about, by the way?

Yea i only eyeballed it. But...i have a multimeter in hand, could you explain what i need to do to check the location? as for my receiver it is a DEH-P7700MP
