Head unit install, quick question

I just installed a Pioneer AVH-P4200dvd unit in my 07 Silverado (new body style). This is my first dvd install and not sure where to connect the parking brake wire. Manual says to the parking brake switch, which I was maybe thinking the parking brake cable. I've got sound, but no picture. Had it in park w/ brake on and still nothing. Did I just connect it to the wrong area? Thanks

yes, its the wire connected to the brake switch. this is the wire that turns on your brake lamp. it tells the deck that you are in park and will then allow the dvd to play. it will not allow you to watch video while in motion.
