Hey guys. I just installed a Pioneer DEH-P7000BT in my car. I thought the installation had gone successful because there was no noise or hissing at all when I was testing out the system. Well, this all quickly changed after I started the engine. The noise gets louder when I push the gas pedal.
I don't know what could be wrong. I don't think I blew the fuse in head unit because I disconnected the battery prior to working. Besides, there was no noise coming from the head unit when the engine was off. My wiring seems correct; however, I did choose to ground the black wire to the wiring harness in my car. The instructions says that I should hook it up to a metal part of the car. Do you think it's this or possibly something else?
(I recently had another Pioneer HU but bought another one since i blew the micro fuse in it, so I know what it sounds like. It had noise when the engine was off and on. This time I was very careful.)
Oh yeah, I'm installing this in a '02 civic coupe.
