I recently added a 10 inch sub with a 300 watt built in amp. My head unit is a pioneer super tuner 3d. After I installed the sub the stereo was great for about three days. Then all of sudden the head unit started shutting off at high volumes . I don't know where to start to solve this problem . I need some help cause I'm not that great with this stuff lol

Usually if a headunit goes into protect it means a speaker wire is touching ground...since it seems to have happened after adding the sub you might want to check your speaker connections especially in the door because they have a tendacy to touch metal around the speaker connections where it’s close to the opening ..another is to check your grounds ..the amp may not have a proper ground so when it starts drawing current ..it’s pulling the ground through the rca cables to get the needed ground to produce power so the deck protects itself

It would also be easy to add an equalizer to have individual rca inputs for all of the channels. A decent one can be had for less than $40...

There are a couple of options. You can use a marine bt unit. They come in the size of a hockey puck and can mount anywhere. This is the marine unit.

There are bluetooth amplifiers. You can just use your phone or an I Pod as the music source and not touch the radio.
