Head Unit and New speakers question

I am installing new speakers and running new wire to them from the amp i am installing. The head unit is pioneer deh p3000ib. My question is do i need to unhook the old speaker's wires from the hu that are wired to the old speakers (they are wired directly into the stock speaker wiring) once I run rcas to the amp? My next question is i am going to bridge the 4 channel amp so do I need to run a set of rcas to the front inputs on the amp and another set to the rear inputs?

The speakers can only be connected to one source. If you install the amp, disconnect the speaker wires, preferably at the head unit, then crimp a cap on the end to protect them from shorting out.

Some 4 channel amps have a switch for 2 or 4 channel input. Cheaper amps do not. If you don't have that switch, you need a y-adapter.

Thank you for the help. The amp has a switch for 2,3, and 4. Do i set it to 4 or 2 since it has 2 sets of rca inputs?
