Head to head ... Arc XXK or US Amps AX Series ...

I have not tested the 2006 models from either company,

just have always liked power and clarity of US, I had some ARCs on order over a year ago but learned that they would not like my 8v H/U
That's a shame and a misconception .... My H/U is 8 volts output , and there are no issues with my XXK amps. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I know US Amps used to be good amps , and probably make one of the best Class A/B sub amps out there , but the AX series cost enough I would want to hear them on a great front stage set up before I reccomended them to anyone.

have you PM'ed flakko for a price yet?

Yeah ..... that's a shame too. From an engineer's stand point , the guts of the AX series amps looks very well done. Of course I haven't seen a close enough view to recognize the names or trademarks of any particular part's names. The real reason for my asking , is I found it interesting when researching US Amps , that while some people are using them for subs , almost no-one is using them for front stage ...... So I thought I'd try and get a feel for people's opinion on them. After all , the AX series seems to be in-line with Arc's XXK pricing.
actually i'm running my whole system on a usamps 5600x. here's the guts:

it's florida made and it has similar specs to the current AX5600. so far from using it, its rock solid. Very comparable to my old helix hxa500 mkII. the usamps gave my mids a bit more punch to it. while still maintaining the smoothness my system had when i had the helix in.

i'm sure the ax line is a very nice line. i'd love to purchase an ax5600....maybe flakko can help me out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. you owe me flak. lol.
