Hdtv...anyone recommend me something?

recently i was wanting to look into getting a nice hdtv or plasma/lcd. was looking for a nice 25-27" tv possibly under $500 (as circuit city had some for around that price today). anyone turn me to some good brands that won't crap out in 2-3 years? also moving in a week so this would be good for my new place. thanks.
