Hdmi Cables !!!HELP

Ok so i was lucky to get a ps3 and a hdtv.

Now i have to buy a 60 dollar dam cable to connect the too?

Well i looked hdmi up on ebay and their cheep as shit.

Any difference between a 12 dollar cable an my new 60 dollar?

just go to best buy and get one of the nice monster-cable component ps3 cables, i think they're $30-40

hdmi and component are the same quality, but component uses standard stranded wire, which is less lossy

unless you ONLY have hdmi inputs on your tv, i'd use component

and the difference between a cheap cable and an expensive cable is the quality of the terminals, which CAN make a difference over time

poor interconnects get noisy over time, kinda like those old cheap rca cables you have lying around, that you have to jiggle to get the picture to work, you know the ones i'm talking about, everyone has a few from 'back in the day'

when i bought my ps3, the guys at best byu trying to sell the accessories were telling people to pass on the "official" ps3 hdmi cable and just get a generic one, as the price difference was not worth it because they are all basicly the same

well, go for it

you can get an actual GOOD hdmi cable online for $30

the only reason i've heard hdmi is inferior to component is it uses a square ide-style data cable rather than a regular round braided cable like most a/v interconnects, which is more prone to interference, and signal degradation over the same distance

for 2 or 3 feet to the tv, it should be a non issue

just get a decent cable

Don't know how their cables are, but I plan on picking up a Dayton HDMI cable from partsexpress.com
