Just depends on the box man. If you tune it lower expect to lose some overall output. My suggestion would be ~2.5 cu ft after displacement at ~37 hz depending on your application. I also have an HDC3 12 w/ Alum Coils PM if interested.

yeah, but im just thinking. and i could never power the aluminum coils! haha i cant even power the copper coils just gonna make it work though

Why not go with the SDC then? Better to have a little amp headroom, they have a lower Fs too

Well they play lower better, off less power, but it comes down to how much power you have now, and if you will be upgrading in the future. Just my .02. HDC3's are beasts for sure either way you really cant go wrong.

Ive got some hdc3's and hd3's and both have no problem playing in the mid 20's in the right box.

T/S specs are always wrong. they are not exact. they will get low.

just look at DD's xmax specs...you believe those numbers?
