hdc312 on a gp3000d-pro

ok well, i unhooked the speaker. and it read 2.0 ohms to start, then a minute later fell to 1.9 ohms. what does this tell me?? about 1500wrms are coming from the amp? (thats what the amp is rated at into 2ohms.

ok so i am about to order a clamp off the internet. should i get a cheap one, or is it necessary to get a true rms clamp?? and how would i go about measuring my approximate wattage?? i did a little searching on this forum but some of it was just confusing. i will have one of the above described clamps and a DMM, nothing else, to measure with. let me know!!

you dont need to get a clamp. just measure each side. if each side says 2 ohm its a d2 sub. means ur either at 4 or 1.
when i have the sub wired (supposedly parallel), i measure the ending wires (the final two that would go into the amplifier) and my dmm reads at 1.9-2.0 ohms (jumps very minimally.

I'm confused now after reading everything. You said you measured the speaker then said measured the ending wires and get 2 0hm which means 2 ohm nothing more nothing less. which would mean you have a single 2 ohm speaker. Right? Did you pull the speaker out and check it or just check the wires?

I re-read the threads and see where you said both pos and both neg wired together. Is it possible the two coils fused into one, like maybe one burned and landed on the other.
