How does the 2500 compare to the HDC3? I thought it would be more towards the 3500 or higher... I dont know much about DD subs.

nah, its fine.. Ive been on a lot of forums reading up on these. Ive seen tests theyve been put through. Tests ive seen are good increases up to 3 dbs wired the same as the old hdc3. Ill be the judge for myself when i get my new hdc4. Ive had the hdc3 and enjoyed it very much.

It would be more comparable to the 3500 series. I also heard its similar to the 9500 but the 9500 is a little more advanced.

Ive heard they were compared to 9500s but i dont see how, 9500 has 6k watt max, and magnet is huge. Id say 3500

a real 9500 will kick an hd3c's ***, I've owned both, I'd put the hd3c right under a stock 3500 series DD as far as out put, for power handling it's in between the 3500 and 9500.

Now and in the supercharged motor on the 2500 and I should have slight gain over the hd3c, the reason I'm using 2500's is to keep weight down.

I'd assume the 4s need a 3500 a piece or 2 2200s to really get moving if you wand to stick with AQ

the hdc3 takes more power and us louder than the 3500.

the alum coil is nearly as loud as the 9500 but the 9500 pulls away after 3500 or so..

the hdc4 should be right up there with the 9500 at higher power levels.
