ok i am at my final decision here which of these 2 would get loudest? am goin for pure spl and running 1 saz3000 right now. i might buy another and strap them.

1 18" hdc3 or 1 15" dd9515

in the future i will upgrade to 2 but i dont know when so im just goin with 1 for now

help me with my decision, oh and its goin in a 05 grand cherokee

The aq is going to be louder. It isn't a fair competition comparing an 18 to a 15.

I think there is something to the hdc318 being less efficient than the 15 even though it has alot more cone area.

Notice the mmd and efficiency for the 15 and 18

15" - 253.635g sensitivity 91.532 dB

18" - 457g sensitivity 89.8 dB

Does that seem wierd to anybody else?

Yes that seems odd. But your box seems awfully small for an 18, even for a burp box. But I dont have any experience with that sub, is it suppose to work well in that small of a space?

Thats what DJ recommended so thats what I tried. From the way the sub acted it could have used more box or more power from my uneducated opinion
