Hey guys , just finish my installation of my sub which is :

Hdc3 12 D2

Aq1200d

O gauge all around

Big 3 done in 0 gauge

8 gauge speaker wire

custom box : 2.5 cubes @ 34 hz, 15.525 in^2 per cube

top/bottom: (2) 18 x 30

sides: (2) 13.5 x 18

fronts: (2) 13.5 x 25.625

rear: 28.5 x 13.5

port wall 1: 13.5 x 12.875

port wall 2: 13.5 x 11.625

the problem is : I wired it to 1 ohm , setting the amp with the smd DD-1 , all my ground are good and at full tilt im not really satisfied about it ... dose not it hard at all ... just want to know why ?

if I put a sheet of paper in front of the port she only making Small wave ..

and with only a 70 amp alt (civic) my voltage wont drop below 13.5 on full tilt IDLE... normal on 1200 rms ?

Thanks .. sorry if my English is not that good but ...

negative and positive backwards on the sub? i know sounds dumb but almost everyone has done it. a multimeter will read regardless so i would checo the wiring on the sub. also some cars just done get as loud easy. my subaru ***** for bass, at least for me.

double check all setting on headunit. make sure all your crossovers are set correct. dont turn on bass boost.try moving your box in different positions. i have kinda the same.problem but im 99.9% sure its my car just doesn't get loud easy. maybe your just expecting more than that subwoofer can deliver.

Bass boost of , loud off , I have try sub-port facing front and port-sub facing back of the car ..

For the crossover setting im not sure im good :

On my head unit I set Hpf and lpf OFF and I set it on my amp .. is good ?

i woud set lpf on headunit around 80 hertz or 63. and i would set the hpf on 125hz or 150. i prefer to use head units crossovers, others dont. just make sure on your amp the lpf is around 80 or a little below if your not uaing the headunits crossovers. try using them at the hz i said before and turn the lpf on the amp around 80 hz. its worth a try.

why would you set your HPF at 125 or 150 if your LPF is set at 80? You'd be missing out on the frequencies between 81 and 124 (not really, since it's a slope, but you get what I mean). As a rule of thumb, you should start with hpf and lpf at 80. Drop to 63 for both if your door speakers are able to handle those frequencies (most dont do it well). But you should never have that big (or any, for that matter) of a gap between your hpf and lpf settings.

Try this.. Turn your hu up about 3/4 of the way. Download a -6db test tone at like 45hz. Play it and slowly turn up the gain. If the sub stops moving further as gain goes up stop the test, or if the sub starts to make mechanical noise. If the cone just keeps moving then keep on going.. You should be able to see when to back off. I have a feeling your DD-1 is the problem and you system gain is just too low, I can't imagine not having any dimming with a 70amp alternator. If I'm wrong then turning up the gain further won't do much for movement and may just make things sound bad, but if you see the cone just keep on moving forward, that's probably the issue. This kind of thing happens alot when people use machines to set gains...
