You guys talked **** and we showed up and "put it on the line". You had plenty of vehicles there that could have done the 49.9 class.

You had ALL of last year to "prove" how poorly built my car was by showing up with something that sounded better and metered louder. That never happened now did it. Instead you showed up and ran your mouth about all the competitors as usual, even the WI guys....

Im pretty sure I always bring it at shows. I even asked joker to go into the 159.9 bassrace class at the Alfero Brothers 3x event, but he wouldnt.

Now my speakerbox in the cargo area of my tahoe sure aint no 155.1DBs like Jokers cadillac with a wall, but my 153.8 aint too shabby at 34hz, and still being able to bassrace a 152.8db.

If I remember right I even gave said Decaf a pretty decent and long demo at that show too and even took out a coil without nowing it, and still burped a 153 flat.

Tommy where in your head and would you think I would ever want to be a consultant for AQ? Cause DOA said I should shut up and do it once? That makes you feel that its something id want to do and am butt hurt cause im not. The entire consultant thing is all from DOAs mouth. Never something I would do or want to do EVER. Your right I did skip over the fact that you actually addressed the issue for once because it was followed by dozens of personal attacks. Hmmm wonder why you couldnt have just left it as yeah there were issues, you went about it the wrong way, nothing will be done. I do what everyone else does, they have equipment, they find something better, they move on. Do I talk up and support what I use and enjoy? Hell yeah. Every time I have changed equipment I have gained. Would you change from company to company if you saw direct drop in gains? Maybe you wouldnt be so vocal about how much you like or dislike a company but hey thats freedom of speech and im entitled to show my like or dislikes for any company I want. Nothing was EVER given to me for free, sorry if you feel I only stand behind products that do. Only free product I ever received was second skin in which I donated the entire package to Jeremy Weber for Regionals. Beyond that Shok industries gave me a team discount on 20 spools in which TMH, Dee, and Geoff received all of it, I had one foot in my name. But did I still push those companies? Yes of course. You seem to have it in your head that I am only in this for myself, this is a hobby to me and one of many of mine. I dont need deals and anything handed to me. I work for what I have, do you think id be working two full time jobs for the past five summers and a full time during school, when I get free equipment? If only you knew the facts.

Lets see, my cadillac was a wall I built by myself, not that I had built by someone elses assistance, and was my first wall built.

The cadillac was also pushed by 2 tiny american bass 150.1s not 2 audioques 3500s wired down with a peak freq of 50hz.

But yes. Lets talk about my tahoe with only 2 D3100 batteries, so yes I got 3 alts because I was cheaper off.

And yes, I already know what your going to say, you guys dont like cheap plastic trophies, or you guys dont care about numbers, or there is a "hood show", or Patrick is running a knock off show, or us WI guys are only made because we are sick of competing against each other (even tho none of are in the same class, but it sounds like a good excuse to you).. One of those usually seems to be the reasoning for team doa.

It just be nice to have locals goto shows and support them, and try to get things bigger and better, and with Team DOA member base almost double of the competitors in WI it could help things out a lot!

But yea who cares about numbers, numbers mean nothing about how loud it is, just ask pwk..... Wait you obviously care about loudness or you wouldnt have a wall..

That's not true at all. Sorry that we all can't go to shows in WI all the time, sometimes schedules just conflict. I would do more shows in WI if I was confident about my S-10 making it there and back. Hopefully that will change once I have a setup in the daily truck and can drive decent distances without worrying about breaking down.

Besides, a lot of us did a lot of shows in numerous states, including 4 DOA guys that drove 8 hours to missouri. Sorry that we can't make it to every 1x show thats 4 hours away in WI. I would have done more if I didn't work weekends often, something that I know a lot of the DOA guys do as well.

Just because we don't do all the db drag shows in WI doesn't mean that we don't do "real" competitions. There's plenty of other shows outside of your state.

I don't know where all this IL vs. WI beef came from, but it's pretty annoying.

Like I said, stuff happens. I can say that myself personally I make all intentions to go to some shows but sometimes things just don't work out as they should.

You guys shouldn't be so upset that DOA doesn't show up just because they said they would. As much as we'd all love to do 30 shows a year, it's just not likely. If there's a "hood" show that's an hour away at which you could win $500 on the same day as a 1x db drag show that's 3 hours away, is the choice really that hard to make?

You might call your reasons "excuses", but they are REAL reasons. In reality I'm probably the only guy on DOA that takes competition pretty seriously, but unfortunately I don't have the time or money to be competitive in db drag/bassrace as much as I'd like to be. I can do MECA because it's close to me and I can kick butt with minimal equipment. The rest of DOA really doesn't care about points or finals or any of that nonsense.

That's the way it is and will be. Nothing you say will change that. Call us liars or wussies or whatever, won't bother them because they enjoy what they do regardless on what somebody else on a forum says. But don't say things that aren't true.

Im sorry but who has a daily setup on DOA? The word "daily" has the grayest line ever, how come Mike can run 8 3500.1s in a wall tuned in the mid 40s and thats daily, but I run two HWs on stock alt, two NSB90s, and a D9 below windowline in trunk at 38hz and im a burp car? Just curious cause the word daily and competive confuse me and im not even being sarcastic at this point its a stupid word and a stupid way to classify a car, only thing not daily would be street setups or Extreme vehicles imo.

Tommy no need to be modest your a multi world champ at Meca and placed in Bassrace if not won it at nationals. Running 2 SD8ks, or 8 3500.1s at .5 or lower, or a AQ20k... how are these any more daily then for example anyone setup from wisconsin. And DOA doesnt always lose, actually from what Mike said he hasnt really had a challenge in his class, doesnt seem like Alex did in his class either?

What about 3x dropfest? Multiple DOA members said theyd be there, some even said they had hotels setup and got off for it and everything... It was a huge show, all the best around came, even murillo came from Canada, we had 50+ cars (and a tonka truck or what ever they are).

I guess heres how I stand, if things are that unsure or likely to change, just dont say anything. Specially the day before, kinda makes your word more and more meaninless everytime. I know if a wisconsin team were to go on the forums the night before Il shows and talked up about how there coming in a caravan and didnt come time after time, it would make that teams words lose appeal.

By daily I'm saying that they weren't necessarily built for competition in mind. They were designed to play music and demo. I never said much about your setups because I never saw anything that said "burp only" to me, especially being tuned where you are.

Now the chevette and the caravan, on the other hand, were/are burp vehicles.

But really though, why can't DOA use their setups the way they want? I don't see the problem in that. Plenty of other guys with setups just as crazy as DOA will never, ever go to a "real" competition because frankly they are just a waste of time and money for the average person. We aren't average people. We have a drive to compete and win, while most of DOA couldn't care less. It's just the way it is.

Dropfest I can't comment on. I know a few guys did it in 2009 and had intentions to do it last year, but beyond that I can't say anything. I can never get up there because June is a bad month for me work wise along with prior engagements.

Hopefully things will lighten up as the year goes on.
